Silent Letters 2

The perfect game to help discriminate, read and spell words with silent letters w, g, n, l and d. Just like Silent letters 1, these 6 spinner games will also arrive in their own silver storage tin to help you keep everything in its rightful place.

For Cards 1-5, spin the arrow and ask learners to read the words on the card. They should identify which is the silent letter. Card 6 requires learners to give a word that includes the silent letter they land on.

Card 1 silent w: two, write, wrist, wrap, whole, sword, answer, wrinkle.
Card 2 silent g: sign, gnat, gnaw, gnash, gnarl, gnome, resign, design.
Card 3 silent n: damn, hymn, column, condemn, autumn, solemn, damning.
Card 4 silent l: calm, calf, talk, walk, folk, palm, chalk, salmon.
Card 5 silent d: edge, wedge, badge, bridge, hedge, handsome, handkerchief, Wednesday.
Card 6 mixed letters: w, g, n, l, d, w, l, n.
