Can Do Cubes for Synthetic Phonics

This two-stage programme, for one to one or small group learning, can be used as a stand-alone resource or as a multisensory complement to other synthetic phonics programmes.

Stage 1 contains a set of laser engraved, hardwood cubes which systematically introduce one spelling each for the 44, individual sounds (phonemes) that make up the English language (the simple alphabetic code).

Stage 2 contains cubes showing the spelling variations of the complex alphabetic code (some 175+ spellings of the 44 phonemes [/ai/ spelt: ai, ei, eigh, ay, ei, a, for example]) double consonants, capital letters and basic punctuation. Instructional activity books, a DVD (with interactive ‘sounding out’ of the 44 phonemes) and quick reference wall charts complete the set.

Fully compliant with the principles of the UK Government’s ‘Letters and Sounds’ programme. Recommended by the Dyslexia Institute. No specialist language knowledge is necessary.
